Unique growth Our group has made a room installation representing
the internet in numerous ways. Our initial thoughts were to show the history
of the intenet and the difference between virtuality and reality.
Our bookshelf and bin represents how the internet is expanding over time and
the fact of how we no longer rely on books to receive information and facts.
The size of the bookshelf and the stairs are to show how big the internet
is and to give an illusion that the internet is "As high as the sky". The
little box is to represent the world of the man inside, who is neither in
the reality or virtuality of the world. The brain is to show how the computer
replaces man's brain. The numbers 1 and 0 represent the information inside
the computer comparitively, the man is a number 2 which represents how he
is not like the computer.
The mirrors which are also placed in the stairs and around the room are to
represent how the reflection only shows what you look like on the outside
and not the inside, which is not reality. The map of hands are used to represent
the networks on the internet and the many people which use them.
The hands show how you don't see the actually person you are networking with,
but only a part of them, which isn't reality. The different languages of the
word "LOVE" not only represents the different countries but also the love
