first impressions
Welcome to the website of a program which engages student from France, England and Germany in an artistic project. We are currently working on this site and more contents will be placed here in the following months.
So, what is this project about? In the beginning, there was an exceptional idea: Why not establish a long-term exchange between various schools which would work on art projects dealing with the topic of transparency. As our lingua franca we decided to choose English, although an interesting mix of languages was observable during our first workshop. Thus, students from France, Britain and Germany met for the first workshop in the beautiful city of Chalon-sur-Saône in France to begin the artistic quest.
The topic we have chosen to deal with is the issue of transparency in its many-sided forms. Starting with everyday objects such as drinking glasses, bottles, windows etc. we eventually began the philosophical exploration of this fascinating topic. We wish to engage our students on an artistic, reflective journey which will help them to question their perception of the world as it presents itself. This will hopefully lead to true transparency regarding ideas, ideologies, politics and culture.
